With the intensity of the qualifiers behind them and still not knowing for sure who made the cut, everyone gathered in Barnum Park for food, beer, and talks. Representatives from some cities made their best five minute blurbs on why they should get to host 2017. Will it be Baltimore? There was a buzz about Milwaukee going on, and don’t forget L.A!
The park district might as well pull that sod and start over after we turned it into a mud pit. Riders romped through the freshly laid sod on their way down the hill for a group photo, tearing it apart with their cleats. It was just about the right time, as the sun was setting with the Denver skyline as a back drop. Once the official business was handled it was either time to party, go for the last chance alleycat, or rest for tomorrow.
