In an alternate version of The Lottery, the main character is stoned to death with limes by a group of her peers. You could say she was limed to death. None of this pertains to anything whatsoever, but when I rode my bike stoned past Limestone Coffee & Tea right as they were turning on their open sign 15 minutes early, I knew I should stop in. They have a fine selection of looseleaf teas and I selected the Dragon Well Green Tea to be my bike ride companion for the morning.
After watching the sunrise from the pedestrian bridge over the Fox River, I took a leisurely ride up and down the trail in Batavia. One last look at these clear trails and roads before I go home and wait for the projected 8-12 inches of snow.
“Some people are uncomfortable with silences. Not me. I’ve never cared much for call and response. Sometimes I will think of something to say and then I ask myself: is it worth it? And it just isn’t.” -Miranda July, No One Belongs Here More Than You
